| The group was started by the late Tom Finch, famous local artist, who lived in Bamburgh Avenue; hence the name of the group. We meet at the South Tyne Arts Studio in Ocean Road (the old synagogue) on a Monday night at around 6:30 p.m. usually finishng at between 8:30 and 9:00pm |

Our main priority is to enjoy ourpainting. We can't claim any rembrants or constables but we sometimes turn out a decent picture. Of course its not all canvas and colouring. There has to be a tea break, or coffee, or hot chocolate, depending on what takes you're fancy. |
